Medical and safety disclaimer

Satv Yog provides yoga education and guided wellbeing practice. It does not provide emergency care, medical diagnosis or a guaranteed treatment outcome.

Not medical advice or treatment

Website information, assessments and sessions do not replace a doctor, physiotherapist, psychologist, psychiatrist, obstetric professional, dietitian or another regulated clinician. Do not delay medical assessment because of content on this site.

Evidence is condition specific

NCCIH reports possible yoga benefits for areas such as stress management, sleep and low-back pain, while repeatedly noting that evidence quality, populations and programmes vary.1 "May support" is not the same as "will cure."

Emergency and red-flag symptoms

Seek immediate medical help for chest pain, severe breathing difficulty, fainting, sudden weakness/numbness, symptoms of stroke, suicidal crisis, major trauma or any symptom you believe may be an emergency.

CDC states that DVT requires prompt medical attention and pulmonary embolism requires immediate medical attention. Calf/arm swelling, pain, warmth or discoloration can be DVT symptoms; difficulty breathing, chest pain, coughing blood or fainting can be PE symptoms.2 Satv does not offer "DVT yoga treatment."

Pregnancy

Discuss exercise early with the obstetric professional. ACOG advises modified yoga where suitable and avoidance of hot yoga and long periods lying flat on the back.3 Satv requires specialist matching and relevant clearance.

Instructor scope and credentials

An M.A. in Yoga, teaching experience and doctoral research do not automatically confer medical licensure. The Yoga Certification Board has distinct professional and yoga-therapy pathways.4 Satv assignments must match documented competence.
